Dr. Sheeran’s talk is titled “Climate Clarity before Climate Chaos: Economic Justice Now” and sponsored by the university's Politics & Government Department.

Admission is free and a light reception will follow.

Sheeran's appearance is the concluding event of Pacific University's Earth Week events lineup.

In “Climate Clarity before Climate Chaos: Economic Justice Now,” Sheeran will trace the vital political-economic dimensions of climate change before offering a robust explanation of what she views as the best path forward.

After presenting her bold, yet feasible, plan to address the climate change conundrum, the audience will have an opportunity to weigh in with questions, comments and ideas.

She has also written about economics and the environment for a popular audience, including op-eds in The Washington Post and Baltimore Sun, and is a frequent contributor to blogs Real Climate Economics, Grist, and Triple Crisis.
