President Hallick to receive Global Business Award

Pacific's 17th president will be among five individuals honored on Monday, May 9.



Pacific University president Lesley Hallick, Ph.D., is among five individuals who will be honored for leadership success within the Portland metropolitan area.

Hallick, along with Sho Dozono (Azumano Travel), Gale Castillo (Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber), Gil Latz (Portland State University) and Greg Chaille (Oregon Community Foundation), will receive a Global Business Award at a benefit luncheon for Special Olympics Oregon to take place Monday, May 9 at the Portland Hilton and Towers.

In addition to the individual honorees, five organizations will be honored with a Global Business Award: Loaves and Fishes, Boys and Girls Aid, Metropolitan Family Service and United Way of the Columbia Willamette.

The event will conclude with a special tribute to local leaders who passed away within the past year, including Pacific alumnus and longtime benefactor Tom Holce ('58, Hon. '93).
