Martin Fischer joins the College of Education faculty as Director and Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders. He comes to Pacific University from a position as professor and academic director at Oklahoma State University. His areas of specialty include child language disorders and the application of technology to the discipline of speech-language pathology. He is co-developer of the Master Clinician Network which is a project designed to make peer reviewed examples of evidence-based clinical practice in speech-language pathology available for observation and critical discourse.

Shesna Calkins is the Student Services Manager in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has a strong background in financial aid and customer service. She is delighted to be working with students and helping them through the administrative process. Recently, she was honored with the Pacific University Outstanding Contribution Award and was also spotlighted in the Pacific News. She is excited to be working with an amazingly talented and inspiring group of professionals! Shesna also enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and most of all spending time with her family.
