Policy
This document was designed and implemented to expedite the
request process for building renovations, improvements, alterations;
new construction requests, and moves.
Practice
Project Requests will be received, reviewed, and processed in a
timely manner. The Director of Facilities Management will collaborate
with the Superintendent of Facilities Engineering, architects,
engineers, and contractors in assessing the request and considering
the project's feasibility.
Procedure
Submit a Project
Request Form to the appropriate Dean or Vice President, providing
as much information as possible. (Rough drawings or sketches are
encouraged.) Once the information has been included on the form and
the Dean/Vice President has approved the request, the form should be
forwarded to the Director of Facilities Management for cost
estimates.
Note: If outside services are required, the Vice President of Financial Affairs must approve the project. This will ensure that relevant factors including institutional requests, the complexity of projects requested, available funds for major projects, and appropriate bid or construction requirements are addressed.
