What surprises you most about the Pacific community?

I came to work at Pacific from a very small, close-knit organization that seemed more like family than co-workers. My biggest fear was that I would never find a place like that to work again – until I came to Pacific. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I felt at home here from day one.

Mountain or coast?

Coming from Texas, I have to say I love the mountains in Oregon. The coast is beautiful too, but a little colder than what I’m used to. It’s all so beautiful and so close…I have to say both!

World Series or Superbowl?

Superbowl! I tend to only find baseball interesting when I’m actually in the stadium, eating ridiculous numbers of hotdogs and doing the wave.

Dine-out or eat-in?

I love to cook and having someone cook for me. Eating in is definitely the way to go because you can get creative with the food and you can control what goes in it.

If you could take one class at Pacific, what would it be and why?

Photography. It’s my favorite type of art and probably the only kind I will ever be able to do half-well. I’ve always wanted to learn how to develop film and take "real" pictures.

Something that most people don't know about me...

I’m ridiculously frugal. I will spend 15 minutes in the hand soap aisle determining price vs. amount in the container. For example, the other day I was looking at Method hand soap for $4 with something like 12 oz in it versus Soft Soap for $3 with 10 oz. Is it worth the extra dollar for 2 additional ounces? This question plagues me constantly. A little more obsessive than I would like to be about hand soap, but I must say I’ve been happy with my choice: Method.
