Introduction:
This course discusses the types (axial, refractive, physiological, and neurological), causes, measurement and practical treatment for aniseikonic patients. Knapp’s Law and the use of chairside techniques to determine retinal size difference will be covered.
Course Objectives:
To distinguish the four types of aniseikonia by ocular component analysis
To measure aniseikonia with various techniques, including the Brecher Test, Awaya New Aniseikonia Test, Aniseikonia Inspector software
To learn to treat aniseikonia with contact lenses first and spectacle base curve alteration second
