Course Description:
Genetic syndromes can affect both ocular and systemic health and functioning. Particularly of note to the primary care optometrist are CHARGE Association, Cockayne, Laurence-Moon/Bardet-Biedl, Noonan, Prader-Willi, and Turner Syndromes.
Course Objectives:
This course will cover optometric diagnosis and management of the following six genetic syndromes:
- CHARGE Association
- Cockayne
- Laurence-Moon/Bardet-Biedl
- Noonan
- Prader-Willi
- Turner
