What does he enjoy most about teaching at the College of Optometry?

"I relish staying up on the latest developments in functional vision, and putting them into practice in our clinics and classrooms. For example, in the visual perception class, our students are now learning how retinal functioning relates to modern diagnostic technologies, like optical coherence tomography. For the summer semester, we offer a new clinical ocular motility course to tie first-year neurology to third-year strabismus and amblyopia. Our students are also the first in the nation to learn Nutritional Optometry, one of our most popular elective courses that is part of the Pacific difference. In a nutshell, this Boxer enjoys thinking outside the box."
