Dr. Zelada joined Pacific University in 1997. He is the lead instructor for the Geriatric Optometry course.
Dr. Zelada has served as the instructor for the Case History Interview Course at the New England College of Optometry and the University of Missouri College of Optometry. In addition to his responsibilities at the College Dr. Zelada owns and operates a private optometric practice in the Portland metro area. Dr. Zelada is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Zelada is an independent consult to Portland Oregon Providence Elderplace since 1991; a Governor’s Appointed member to the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee to Department of Transportation; and Bicycle Transportation Alliance legislative committee member.
He spent his early years in San Salvador, El Salvador, and lived in Mattoon, Illinois, until college age. His research interests include transportation issues involving bicycling and pedestrians; geriatrics; Mayan artifacts, Photographers and Photographic Printing.
