ARD - Assistant Resident Directors are Residence Life Staff who are students living and working in Vandervelden.

CPS - Campus Public Safety officers are a very friendly group of people available to you 24 hours a day to help with emergency & security needs.

FYS - First Year Seminar is a humanities class required for an undergraduate degree.

HPC - Health Professions Campus is Pacific's campus located in Hillsboro, Oregon. Dental Health Science, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Pharmacy, and Professional Psychology are all located at this location.

IGC - Inter-Greek Council is a group formed by representatives of the active fraternities and sororities at Pacific.

IPSS - Interprofessional Programs Student Senate is the representative voice of the students of Pacific University's professional programs - Optometry, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Professional Psychology, Education, Pharmacy, and Dental Health Science.

LEED - Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design - sustainable building practices & design lead to recognition for our buildings & university.

LPAC - Lincoln Park Athletic Center.

NA - Network Assistants are students who live in the Residence Halls to help with computer and internet problems.

OTSS - Office of Transfer Student Services

PAC - the Pacific Athletic Center is the athletic building that is open to all students with a modern, well-equipped workout facility, plus handball, racquetball, and basketball courts.

PIC - the Pacific Information Center is located in the middle of the UC and is the place to get information you need.

PSC - Psychological Service Center - located in downtown Portland, this houses our own training clinic for Professional Psychology.

PUCC - the Pacific Undergraduate Community Council - the elected undergraduate student body government whose voice is heard throughout the Pacific community - watch out for their new name this fall as they switch to a more representative senate model.

RA - Resident Assistants are students who were chosen to live and work with students in the residence halls. There's one in every wing of every Residence Hall.

RD - Resident Directors are professional staff and are the great people in charge of the residence halls.

RHA - Resident Housing Association is just like your neighborhood association. They are a group of students who arrange hall programs for the residence halls throughout the school year.

TIC - the Technology Information Center is located in the lower level of Marsh Hall. The staff there can help you with your computer questions and problems.

UC - the University Center is in the middle of campus. It is where you will eat, study, and probably hang out. It's like Pacific's living room.
