New Student Orientation Co-Coordinators

Suzanne Mather

Hello, I am Suzanne Mather and one of your New Student Orientation Co-Coordinators this year. I am a senior from Reno, Nevada and am majoring in Sociology with a minor in French studies. This will be my third year as an Ambassador and I spent last year as one of the Ambassador Co-Leads. During my time at Pacific, I have also been a part of the Residence Housing Association and Pacific Christian Fellowship. In my free time I enjoy running, biking, exploring Oregon, playing guitar, and scrap booking. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces when you arrive for Orientation as well as meeting new ones!

 

 

 

Rachel Kirk-Epstein

Hello, I am Rachel Kirk-Epstein and I am one of the New Student Orientation Co-coordinators this year. I am a senior majoring in Social Work. I am originally from Honolulu, HI but am now an Oregon resident. In my four years at Pacific I have been involved in the Residents Housing Association, the Social Work club, the Hawaii club, and I would like to start a Hiking club this year. In my free time I love to be outside, hangout with friends, and travel. This will be my fourth year as an Ambassador involved in Orientation.

Hello! My name is Rose Beltrone and I am a senior here at Pacific. I am an Economics and Theatre double-major with a focus in design. I am from Great Falls, Montana. At Pacific I have been involved in Peer Mentoring, Crew Team and the Japan Club. In my free time, I enjoy reading, sleeping and spending too much time in coffee shops with my friends. If you have any questions over the summer, please feel free to ask. Pacific is my fourth college in 3 years so I understand what it is like to be a transfer student.

Timberly Robinson

Hello! My name is Timberly Robinson and I am one of the Orientation Program Assistants for the upcoming year. I am a senior at Pacific, majoring in Business Administration emphasizing in Accounting with a minor in Spanish. My hometown is a tiny place called Riddle, located in southern Oregon. I have enjoyed being an Ambassador for the past 3 years! In addition, I have been involved in a variety of clubs and organizations on campus, including the Business and Economics club, Accounting club, Spanish club, and Circle K. I love when it's sunny and people are funny, cats are good for chats, and friends are always tens! I am very excited to meet you all in the fall! Ben Griffin

What's up? My name is Ben Griffin and I am a Orientation Program Assistant. I'm a junior here at Pacific majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Integrated Media. I grew up in Tacoma, WA, about half an hour south of Seattle. At Pacific I compete on the Varsity Swim Team. I'm also a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Council and the Web Designer for the Berglund Center for Internet Studies. I'm a big fan of snowboarding and outdoor activities in general but don't let that fool you, I'm still a geek at heart. This is my first year as an OPA and my second year with the Ambassadors. Sara Jean Gilbert

Hello and Welcome! I am happy to introduce myself as this year's Orientation Intern. My name is Sara Jean Gilbert and I am a second year graduate student at the University of Denver in Student Development in Higher Education. I received my Bachelors degree in Communication Studies and Political Science from Seattle University where I began my steadfast love of New Student Orientation programming. I am SO excited to have the opportunity to work at Pacific this summer. It will be a great pleasure to meet all the new students and parents and to help you get acquainted with Pacific. I will be learning right along with you and I am committed to making your transition to Pacific a great one. In my free time I enjoy making arty collages, coffee dates with friends, just about anything involving the outdoors, and traveling.

Hello All! My name is Jen Hansen and I am your Orientation Program Manager. I work to make sure you will have a fun and enjoyable orientation experience while gaining as much knowledge about your first year at Pacific as possible. I am a recent graduate of Pacific with a degree in Exercise Science, and I plan on pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy. I am originally from the small town of Gig Harbor, Washington, but now call Forest Grove my home. When I'm not helping to plan your Orientation, you can find me at the pool, gym, or just enjoying the beautiful Oregon weather. I look forward to meeting you this August and hope you enjoy your last summer before college!

Hello Everyone! I am the Assistant Director of Orientation as well as a graduate student in the School of Professional Psychology. We work year-round to prepare for the arrival of new students in the fall and we are all very excited for a new year to begin and for all of you to be joining us at Pacific! This is a great place and one that I have called home for a long time now. Several years ago, I was in your shoes as a new student getting ready to come to college. It was a whole new experience for me and one that I will never forget. We have come a long way since then and have the best ever Orientation program to help you get started at Pacific. Welcome to Pacific! I'm Julie Murray-Jensen, the Assistant Dean of Students at Pacific University, and I'm very happy to welcome you to our campus. As your Assistant Dean, I'm very fortunate because my position serves all of our Undergraduate Orientation programs and I will be a part of the team that orients you to campus. This year's Orientation promises to be our most powerful line-up yet with pre-orientation trips, expanded parent programming, and a variety of program highlights for all of our incoming students. Our goal is to help you make the best possible transition possible and we take this responsibility very seriously.
