Welcome to Transfer Orientation
August 21 2008
Hey there everyone! We want you to know how excited we are that you are choosing to come to Pacific this fall! We are working diligently to make sure that Orientation is the best, most informative, and most fun program it can be.
Orientation is a mandatory event for all students, so take advantage of opportunities to make new friends, meet current students and faculty, prepare for classes, and learn about what you can expect from your time as a Boxer. Transfer students have the choice between two different Orientation Programs: New Student Orientation and the abbreviated Transfer Orientation.
New Student Orientation is recommended if you:
- Will be living on-campus
- Are between the ages of 18 & 23
- Are from out of state
- Have few friends and are unfamiliar with the area
- Are looking for a more in-depth exploration of what Pacific has to offer
Transfer Orientation is recommended if you:
- Are 25 or older
- Have close family connections in the area
- Will be commuting to campus
- Are already familiar with campus
To sign up for your preferred program, please email Amanda at orientation@pacificu.edu.
- The opportunity to participate in a Voyage prior to Orientation, please check out the voyage web page for more information!
- The chance to meet faculty and staff, including lunch with faculty and the President of the University.
- The opportunity to complete important administrative tasks, such as getting your student ID card, parking permit, books, meal plans, email account, etc.
- A variety of information about different departments on campus and how to get involved in on-campus activities.
- The chance to meet and connect with other incoming students on and off campus.
- A fun, memorable experience that will get you acquainted with the community, and the University!
