The Pacific University Dental Health Clinic provides educational, preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services. Services are available to all adults and children ages three and older. Services are limited to preventive and limited basic restorative services. We do not offer crowns and extractions, nor do we treat dental emergencies. Our services provided to patients are not intended to replace comprehensive dental care provided by your dentist.
Dental hygiene students perform all services under the supervision of licensed dental health professionals. Due to the educational nature of the clinic, your treatment may progress at a slower pace than in a dental office. You can be assured that the instructor-student interaction, which requires more time during your appointments, means that your care will meet the highest standards of quality.
A treatment plan will be developed to meet your oral health needs and may include health screenings with a blood pressure check and oral cancer screening, dental exam, non-surgical periodontal care, teeth cleaning, oral health instruction with home care kit, dental x-rays, fluoride treatment, sealants and intraoral photographs.
