Sunday, February 9 Pacesetters Event
Important Inclement Weather Notice
We are excited to see you, but your safety is our number one priority!
Pacific University's campus is closed due to snow (Thursday, Feb 6 and Friday, Feb 7) and we are unsure when the campus will open.
A lot of families are traveling this weekend for Pacesetters on Sunday, Feb 9. Traveling in this weather can be difficult and sometimes dangerous. We wanted to reach out to you to let you know what your options were for participating in Pacesetters:
Option 1: Come on Sunday as planned. Although our staff and faculty will be limited (due to the weather), we will hold an abridged version of the Pacesetters Scholarship Competition. Students will still be able to test and families will be able to learn about Pacific.
Option 2: Don't come on Sunday and take a special online test that will only be made available to students who RSVP'd for the 2.9.14 event. Your safety is our first concern. We do not want you to take any risks by coming to Pacesetters. For students who cannot make it on Sunday to test, due to the snow, we will hold a special online test (testing dates are TBA). We will reach out to you next week to figure out a good time for you to come visit our campus and meet with staff & faculty!
Option 3: Don't come on Sunday and come to a mini-pacesetters event (later this February) that will only be made available to students who RSVP'd for the 2.9.14 event (date is TBA). This event will be held for students who wish to test and who want to see the campus.
Our reimbursement policy, even if you are unable to attend on Sunday, will remain valid. Please click here to read our travel reimbursement policy.
We would like to get a good idea of which option you are leaning towards. Please take a moment and fill out the below survey:
