Program Requirements for Students Entering Doctoral Program 2011/2012

with Advanced Standing (Generalist Program)

Subsequent to admission, students applying for Advanced Standing will receive a supplement to the letter of admission confirming their Advanced Standing status and documenting any prerequisites still required.

 

Foundation Sequence

Students admitted at advanced standing may be required to take some foundation courses in their first year of study if they have not had equivalent course work upon admission. For each course for which you believe you have met the requirements, please indicate the equivalent course and attach a catalog description and syllabus for that course in your application packet. Applicants with an approved master's degree, but without such preparation, will be required to to complete these courses at Pacific University during their first year of enrollment. Students exempted from taking Basic Clinical and Counseling Skills and Introduction to Diagnosis and treatment Planning must take GPSY740 Advanced Clinical Skills Review.
