DSM-5: Updating from DSM IV-TR
- Understand the development of DSM-5 prior diagnostic classifications
- Understand key changes in the structure of DSM-5
- Apply the changes in diagnostic classifications for clinical and administrative purposes
David Conant-Norville, MD, is a child and family psychiatrist in private practice at Mind Matters PC in Beaverton. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry. Dr. Conant-Norville is also an Affiliated Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University. He is the current president of the Oregon Psychiatric Association and past president of the Oregon Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Conant-Norville completed residency and child and adolescent psychiatric fellowship training at OHSU.
Christopher Lockey, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Oregon Health Science University and also the OHSU Chief Psychiatrist and Supervising Psychiatrist at the Oregon State Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Forensic Psychiatry and General Psychiatry and past president of the Oregon Psychiatric Association. Dr. Lockey completed residency training at Oregon Health and Science University, and Forensic Psychiatry fellowship training at Case Western in Cleveland, Ohio.
Thomas Hansen, MD, is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University and Supervising Psychiatrist at Portland-Oregon State Hospital. He is board certified in general and geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Hansen is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and past president of the Oregon Psychiatric Association. He completed medical school at OHSU (then known as UOHSC) and completed residency training in psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine.
