Board Membership, State Taskforces, and Community Workgroups
- Northwest Institute of Addiction Studies
Board Relations Chair and Program Committee Chair. Formerly served as Board Chair for 1 term and Finance Chair for 3 terms. Organization works collaboratively with accreditation boards, educational institutions, and treatment agencies to establish and maintain professional standards of addiction counselors. Hosts a national conference on addiction treatment, annually.
- State Dual Diagnosis Taskforce
Served as member on several committees within the taskforce. Taskforce was charged with writing new Statutes, establishing best practices, overseeing academic and licensing standards.
- State Taskforce for Revision of OARs
Worked on taskforce to revise and implement Statutes that related to adult mental health treatment.
- State Workgroup for American Society of Addiction Medicine
This workgroup designed and implemented statewide trainings for assessment and treatment of individuals with addiction problems based on best practices.
- County Mental Health Redesign Workgroup
This workgroup evaluated and made recommendations about the mental health system in Multnomah County.
- Oregon Recovery Consortium
This was a group of community providers who created a consortium to best serve the needs of the community. Additionally this consortium pursued new business and marketed the member providers.
- Alcohol & Drug Advisory Committee
This was a group of providers who worked with the Department of Corrections.
