Early Arrival Requests for Fall 2014

 

An early arrival is any new or returning student that arrives before the Department of Housing's official check-in dates (see below).

 

Students required by the University to arrive early . . .
To be scheduled for this type of early arrival, your supervisor, advisor or coach needs to complete an Early Arrival Request form and submit it to the Department of Housing for approval. Your supervisor, advisor or coach should be advising you of the details about moving in early.

Please note that you must arrive during the early arrival check-in date and time you were approved for. If you miss the designated check-in hours, staff members may not be available to assist you or a $25.00 administrative fee may be charged to your student account.

 

 

Students requesting to arrive early . . .

If you want to schedule an early arrival for yourself and you are NOT required by the University to arrive early, please contact the Department of Housing at housing@pacificu.edu at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival. An email confirmation is sent to you if the request has been approved or denied. Please note: the earliest arrival date permitted for personal reasons is the Saturday prior to the regular scheduled Orientation.

Students NOT required by the University to be on-campus early but are approved in advance by the Department of Housing to check-in, will be charged a $50.00 per night room fee. This will be charged to your student account from the date of check-in until housing officially opens.

If you have been approved to arrive early you should go to the Burlingham Hall front desk during your approved designated check-in hours. A Residence Life staff member will be present to assist you. Please note that you must arrive during the early arrival check-in date and time you were approved for. If you miss the designated check-in hours, staff members may not be available to assist you or a $25.00 administrative fee may be charged to your student account.

 

Students wishing to drop off personal belongings . . .

If you want to drop off personal belonings but do not wish to remain in your room you will be given access only during designated check-in periods if your room is ready. A one-time $50.00 charge will be assessed for this service and no room key will be issued. This fee is charged to your student account. Please contact the Department of Housing at housing@pacificu.edu at least 48 hours in advance for this service. An email confirmation is sent if the request has been approved.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Meal Plans

Your meal plan does not begin until brunch on Saturday, August 23. If you are choosing to arrive early, you are responsible for your own meals. If you are required by the University to arrive early, some of your meals may be provided by the department or sports team requesting you arrive early. Check with them for details.
