Early Arrival Requests for Fall 2009
Scheduling an Early Arrival
In order to be scheduled for an Early Arrival, your supervisor, advisor or coach needs to send your name to the Department of Housing & Residence Life. Talk with your supervisor, advisor or coach for details about moving in early.
Checking In
To get checked-in to your room early, go to the front desk of the hall you have been assigned to or the Vandervelden Assistant Resident Director office (located near the laundry room) during your group's designated check-in hours. A Housing & Residence Life staff member will be present to assist you.
Please note that you must arrive during the official check-in dates and times.
Early Arrival Fee
If you are not required by the University to be on-campus early but are approved by the Department of Housing & Residence Life to check-in, you will be charged a $50.00 per night room fee. This will be charged to your student account from the date of check-in until housing officially opens:
- International Students: August 23, 3 pm - 5 pm
- New Freshmen & New Transfer Students: August 27, 7 am-3 pm
- Returning Students: August 29, 10 am-4 pm
Meal Plans
Your meal plan does not begin until
the official housing check-in date. If you are
choosing to arrive early, you are responsible for your own
meals. If you are required by the University to arrive early some
of your meals will be provided.
If you want to schedule an early arrival, please contact the
Department of Housing & Residence Life at housing@pacificu.edu at least 48 hours
in advance. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your request
has been approved.
