Fall Semester Room Change Information

 

How to Apply for a Room Change

On Thursday, September 10 you should have recieved this letter to your University email which gives in-depth information regarding the Room Change process. Please read this letter before moving forward with your application.

Room Change Request Forms are available in Student Life, with your Residence Director, or you can download and print a Room Change Request Form. This form may be turned into the Student Life Office between Monday, September 14 and Friday, September 25 at 5:00 pm.

Your request will be processed based on the following schedule (please note: schedule subject to change without notice):

You will be notified by your University e-mail if your request has been approved. If approved, the move must be completed by the assigned deadline.


Available Rooms (posted & updated during Room Change Periods only)

The following rooms are those available to choose from. To find out the names of the current occupants, please contact your Resident Director or the Housing & Residence Life Office.

If Gender below is noted as "Either", you must inquire with current residents to see if they are agreeable to the opposite gender.

Room Types are defined as follows:

SApt-4 = single in 4-person unit with kitchen

DApt-6 = double in 6-person unit with kitchen

DST-3 = 3-person unit with no kitchen (Burlingham) or with kitchenette (Gilbert)

D = double

Q4 = quad

T = triple

S = single*

SST = single suite*

DST = double suite

*Singles, and Single Suites are not offered to first year students Fall Semester.

Buildings are defined as follows:

B = Burlingham Hall*

C = Clark Hall
G = Gilbert Hall*
M = McCormick Hall
W = Walter Hall
V = Vandervelden Apartments**

*Gilbert & Burlingham spaces are offered only to students out of high school at least one year.

**Vandervelden spaces are offered only to students out of high school at least two years.

Lottery Numbers - posted during Room Change Period only

Please locate your Student ID Number & then you will find your 09-10 Lottery Number. This number will be used to determine the order the Room Change Requests are processed & if more than one person applies for the same space, the person with the lowest lottery number will be issued the room.
