Housing Lottery Dates and Deadlines

Note: Please pay careful attention to these dates and deadlines. It is your responsibility to meet them. No reminder notices will be mailed. All postings referred to below can be found via housing web pages.

March 5 Residency Waiver Request Forms may be picked up in the Student Life Office.
March 9 Lottery Packets will be mailed to U.C. boxes or can be picked up in the Student Life Office
March 15 Questions? Stop by the Housing Lottery information table in the University Center Commons between 5:00pm - 7:30pm.
March 23 Residency Waiver Request Form due in Student Life Office.

Housing Lottery Application and/or Housing Status Change Notification Form due to Student Life Office by 5:00pm.

Last Day to Submit $100 advance Housing Lottery Entrance Fee to the Student Life Office. It may be charged to your VISA, MASTERCARD OR DISCOVER card; see Lisa Geraci, in the Student Life Office. This must be in by 5:00pm.

Credits earned plus current class load on file in Registrar's Office used to determine class distinctions. Check Boxer Online.

March 26-30 Residency Options Committee meets. Decisions e-mailed by April 2.
April 4 Lottery Number Lists will be posted to web page after 5:00pm. If your student ID number doesn't appear on the list, contact Lisa Geraci in the Student Life Office immediately.
April 6 Housing selection may be changed from Retaining Room to Entering Lottery or vice-versa in the Student Life Office.
April 9 Individual Contract Times posted to web page after 5:00pm for students attending Retain Your Room Night.
April 12
Retain Your Room Night appointments begin in the Alumni Room (5-9:30pm). If you have a specific roommate in mind, your roommate(s) needs to come as well.

Bring Your P.U. ID Card. If you are retaining space for another individual, you must bring an Absentee Room Selection Form (download - MS Word document) signed by that individual giving you permission to retain space in their absence.
April 13 Individual Contract Dates/Times, posted to web page after 5:00pm. See Contract Date/Time section for more information. Some students will be asked to check back on April 20.

On-campus spaces available for selection will be on view online and in the Student Life Office.
April 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, and 26
Individual Contract Time appointments begin in the Alumni Room (5-11pm). Selected roommate(s) should accompany you or should complete an Absentee Room Selection Form, which should be brought with you.

Bring Your P.U. ID Card. If you are selecting space for another individual, you must bring an Absentee Room Selection Form form signed by that individual giving you permission to select space in their absence.
May 4 Sign-up sheet available for individuals selecting space during the Reconsideration Period in the Student Life Office.
May 9-16 Reconsideration of Space, occurs for late lottery entrants, by appointment only.
May 16 Summer Wait List forms due.

August 25 Residence Halls/Vandervelden Court reopen for returning students from 10:00am-4:00pm or by appointment with your Resident Director. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly!
August 27 Fall Classes begin!
