Professional Programs Council Projects

PPC allocates student fees into the following areas.

Research Funds

Funds are available through Research Grants for professional programs students to assist with the costs of producing research and thesis projects. An individual student can receive up to $200 from this fund. For more infomration and the research fund application, click here.

Professional Development

Funds are set aside each fiscal year for each of the professional programs to use for professional development. Each program is eligible. The request for funding must be submitted to the PPC in writing by the president of the student association for each program.

Interdisciplinary Case Conferences

Starting in Fall 2005, PPC contributes underwriting funds towards interdisciplinary case conferences involving students from the College of Health Professions in review and discussion of case studies.

Commencement subsidy

Currently the PPC allocates funds to each graduating student to help offset the cost of the program's graduation banquet.

Hardship Fund

To assist students who are experiencing temporary economic difficulty the PPC has funds available to help them through. This fund is disbursed by the Dean of Students with approval from the PPC.

Program Assistance

Depending on the amount of funds available, the PPC can allocate some remaining monies at the end of the year to programs that demonstrate a need. These funds are usually used for program research and special events
