Purpose:
- To build friendship among students at Pacific University.
- To promote culture awareness on campus, and to create an environment where non-Chinese students can develop a better understanding of the Chinese culture by interacting with Chinese students through cultural activities. Group members may also improve their understanding of Chinese culture.
- To create an environment for Chinese international students to better understand American culture and improve their ability to speak and comprehend the English language.
- To expand students’ horizons through learning various cultures. Throughout the year the club will hold different activities to celebrate major Chinese and American holidays. Here, students will learn about Chinese traditions, practice calligraphy and arts, and participate in other cultural-specific activities.
- To promote interactions between students of different ethnicity in effort to build a diverse community.
