University Advancement

Cassie McVeety, Vice President for University Advancement Welcome to the Office of University Advancement at Pacific University.

At Pacific, we embrace a diverse community of students in undergraduate, graduate and professional programs. Our community, though, extends beyond our students to include the thousands of alumni, donors and friends who also are members of the Boxer Nation.

In University Advancement, our job is to support and advance the University by serving you.

We build relationships with our 23,000 alumni worldwide, enlist financial support for our facilities, students and programs, host academic and community events on our campuses, and keep you up to date with the latest university news.

You are critical in our mission of inspiring students to think, care, create, and pursue justice in our world — whether you mentoring a student, funding a scholarship, or sharing your experiences at Pacific University with others.

I invite you to explore our opportunities to engage all alumni, donors and friends in the life of the University and please let me know how we can help you be a closer member of the diverse and welcoming community that is Pacific University.

Pacific University opened its Hawaii Office in January. We had wonderful gatherings that included students, families, alumni, friends, local dignitaries and educational partners from our Honolulu location. Photos

We are celebrating the outstanding achievements of two faculty members! Juliet Brosing, professor of physics, is the 2012 Oregon Professor of the Year. Meanwhile, Dennis Smith O.D., MS ’87, professor in the College of Optometry, received the American Academy of Optometry’s 2012 Michael G. Harris Family Award for Excellence in Optometric Education.
