Promoting Your Event
Start with our Pacific Community
As a Pacific employee you have the ability to communicate about an upcoming event or newsworthy item. If you have communications responsibilities you might be interested in CANS, the University communications system. Our faculty, staff and students all have the ability to access and post to CANS, providing information to a targeted audience, to multiple audiences and to larger groups at Pacific via enews as well as web pages. Check out CANS or view the CANS Guide.
Promoting Your Event
You’re having an event? That’s great. If you want to promote the event there are many ways you can reach your audience.
- To get information to faculty, staff and students, post your event to CANS. Select enewsletters and webpages you would like to submit to, this could include the home page of our website, PUNN, Boxer Briefs, Alumni, etc.
- Create a poster using a poster template to display on our campuses.
- Post to online calendars. Check with the Director of Media Relations to submit to local community calendars.
- Request that your event be considered for a story or news release. news@pacificu.edu
Online Event Calendars
Are you organizing a public lecture or other event, such as an educational workshop, camp or charity drive? You can promote your event by submitting pertinent information to these online event calendars. Please contact the Media Relations Director if your event contains elements that may be deemed sensitive to some members of the public (e.g. sexual content, profanity, inflammatory remarks).
