Students, faculty and staff at Pacific University are eligible to purchase computers, software and other peripherals at significant discounts through Pacific's partnership with Dell for a significant discount. These purchase programs are between you and Dell, without any University involvement. Pacific University provides this services as a benefit to the Pacific community.
Dell has a wide range of desktop and laptop computers for purchase. Students are encouraged to look at the bundled packages for the significant discounts on the Dell Latitude D630 (shown below) and Latitude D830. If neither of these computers work for your specific needs, Dell offers an up to 12% discount, depending on the type of service warranty you purcahse, on the entire Dell catalog. The Dell Latitude D630 is the system of choice for professionals and replaces the need for a desktop computer. It includes Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, 2.0 GB of RAM, 802.11g integrated wireless, 3 years of maintenance, a DVD+/-RW drive, Office 2007 Professional and a nylon carrying case. Don't forget a flash drive so you can take your work with you.
The Latitude D830 offered has many of the same features but offers a larger hard drive and a larger screen.
