Dear Family,
We would like you to know about a special event offered to new students at Pacific University. Pacific Voyages are pre-orientation outings that bring together new students for, three or four-day adventures. Each is designed to serve students in their transition to college.
Voyages offer a range of urban and outdoor experiences. This year we offer everything from a urban adventure in Portland to a four-day backpacking trip on Mt. Hood. All Voyages are lead by veteran student leaders who have gone through specific leader training for their trip. Together with a staff or faculty member, our student leaders will be able to answer students' questions about life at Pacific and what it means to succeed in the classroom.
Voyages are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to challenge themselves, gain confidence, and begin building relationships with peers who share similar interests. We believe in this program so much that we subsidize each Voyage 30-40%. The cost for any Voyage is discounted to make these experiences as appealing as possible to students.
