About the Writing Resource Center
Mission Statement : The Writing Resource Center helps all writers at all levels to develop powerful, clear, effective writing that represents the writers' ideas, research, creativity, scholarship, and expertise. The Center and staff consultants/tutors offer one-on-one sessions/tutorials with student writers. Consultants are not teachers, editors, or proofreaders, but rather skilled peer readers who provide a careful reading of writers' work and then engage in honest, positive, supportive and constructive dialogue with these writers about their work. In essence, the Writing Resource Center consultant is an official and professional peer reviewer. Consultants serve the students, faculty, and staff of Pacific University and enact and extend the university's mission regarding education and educational resources.
