College of Education: Scholarship Information
TEACH Grant
Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant information and application instructions are now available at the Financial Aid Office and at the College of Education. This new federal grant of up to $4000 per year is potentially available to students who plan to become "highly qualified" teachers in federally defined high-need fields at schools that serve low income students. TEACH Grant recipients will be required to serve in this capacity for at least four years within eight years of receiving the grants.
College of Education Scholarships - Graduate
Criteria: Available to full time MAT 5th Year students. Applicants are evaluated on academic ability, financial need, and teaching potential. Special consideration is given to those pursuing certification in high need areas such as mathematics and science and to bilingual candidates.
Approximately 30 scholarships are awarded annually between the Forest Grove and Eugene campuses. Scholarship awards average $2,000.
