Touch the Future

   Think you might be interested in going to college, but not sure where you might start out? Join Pacific University's Touch the Future (TTF) program! Jointly sponsored by the College of Education Diversity Committee and the COE Alumni Council, Touch the Future gives middle and high school students of color a great place to begin their college search.

   Each year, approximately one hundred students from western Oregon enjoy a full day on Pacific's beautiful Forest Grove campus. Held October 21st, the Fall TTF event is designed to introduce students to university life and to help them explore different courses of study. The Fall schedule of activities includes:

   Touch the Future tee-shirts and lunch are provided.

   Students interested in participating in Touch the Future should submit their applications by October 10th. Download the application form here.

Spring Events

   Students participating in the Fall event are invited to attend the Spring Touch the Future workshop in April on the Forest Grove campus. The workshop will allow students to work in small groups with university faculty and staff to explore the admissions and financial aid process. Touch the Future

Purpose

   To work with school districts and other institutions in introducing middle and high school students of color to university life and the rewarding profession of teaching.


Scholarship Opportunities
