COMMUTING INFORMATION

The Health Professions Campus location on the MAX Light Rail line is a purposeful choice. The Campus plans to grow with a light footprint, reducing, not contributing to air quality degradation and congestion and enhancing a vibrant neighborhood.  Let's work together to achieve this goal. 

 

TRANSIT ALL THE WAY

The University is subsidizing Tri-Met passes to assist your travel.  A standard Tri-Met pass for a four month pass is $344, a student pass is $115. Use Tri-Met's Trip Planner to plan your commute by bus and MAX. 

Tri-Met Discounted Student Pass
- All Zones, All Days, Good for Bus and MAX
- $115 for each term (Spring term includes January)
- Available at the Business Office a the Forest Grove Campus, Suite 101, at the Hillsboro Campus and in Room 434 at the School of Professional Psychology's Downtown Portland Building.

TRANSIT AND VEHICLE

There are Park and Ride facilities all along the MAX line. Consult the MAX Light Rail System Map on Tri-Met web site.  All have a 24 hour parking limit and bike lockers. Downtown Hillsboro parking lots are available for park and ride commuting. Consult the HPC Parking Map and Tri-Met's Trip Planner to plan your commute.

Orenco Station,  - 180 Spaces - 4 stops from HPC
Fairplex Station, - 396 Spaces - 2 stops from HPC
County Garage - 250 Spaces - 2 stops from HPC

VEHICLE

Vehicle commuting is discouraged.  Parking is very limited and restricted by City Ordinance in the residential neighborhoods surrounding the campus. There are free public parking lots in Downtown Hillsboro. Spaces are not reserved.  Best used with MAX.

BICYCLES

20 bicycle parking spaces are provided on Campus. Secure storage is available.  

 

SHUTTLE BUS

Along with Bus #57 there will be shuttle service between the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses. The shuttle is free to Pacific University graduate and undergraduate students and faculty and staff. Before boarding the shuttle bus, individuals must show a current Boxer Card to the driver. The shuttle bus route is from the Pacific University Campus in Forest Grove to the Shuttle Stop to the College of Health Professions and the reverse on the return.
