Program Overview
The MHA program is Pacific’s first graduate program designed for the working adult. With this in mind, the program features amenities and curriculum design that caters to adult learners with responsibilities both in and out of the classroom.
Students will enter the program in the Fall semester as a cohort, moving through the program as a group and taking courses in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Course content will focus on the development of a strong set of business management and ethics-based leadership skills for application within diverse healthcare environments. Students entering the program in the Fall semester as a cohort will progress through the program together, one class at a time. This block strategy not only guarantees that all students who stay in step with their cohort graduate on time (no getting to the last semester and realizing the one course you need isn’t offered), but also allows students to participate in a highly interactive classroom environment. Blocks are relevant, current, and highlight knowledge that the student can apply in his or her own job right away.
Strong emphasis on leadership, ethics, diversity, and cross-disciplinary planning and health delivery will be central themes throughout the curriculum.
