Registrar: Declaring a Major
Students may declare a major at any time; however, the catalog states that students must declare a major by the end of the sophomore year.
Complete the following steps to declare your major:
- Complete a "Proposed Program Evaluation Request" from the Registrar's Office and you will receive a print out of the "Proposed Program."
- Confer with your new and old advisors and have them sign off on the "Proposed Program."
- Submit the signed "Proposed Program" to the Registrar's Office. Your proposal is now your official declaration.
The Registrar's Office will prepare an official academic evaluation for the newly declared major for you to view on Boxer Online.
