- Clinical Interests: assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families; clinical orientation combining a behavioral/cognitive-behavioral perspective with ecosystemic and multicultural theoretical approaches.
- Research Interests: parent-child relationship factors including support and conflict, autonomy, and ethnic differences in parental behaviors; minority mental health issues such as ethnic identity, acculturation/acculturative stress, collectivism/values, and differential vulnerability among Asian, African-American and Latino populations; community psychology and associated topics such as risk and resiliency, stress and coping, and social support.
