Summer Literacy Camp

In 2016, the Pacific University School of Learning & Teaching and School of Communication Sciences & Disorders partners to present a Summer Literacy Camp.

The Summer Literacy Camp, open to grades three to five, was designed to serve the literacy needs of the community while building opportunities for the School of Learning & Teaching to address those needs. Students in the Pacific University College of Education also earned course credits for their participation in the camp.

Look for details in Spring 2017 for future camp activities.

A fun, interactive reading camp for kids

  • Rich literacy experiences: Drama, Art, Music, Digital literacies
  • Assessment of language and literacy skills
  • Strategies to facilitate and improve language comprehension, vocabulary, decoding, reading comprehension
