Barbara Johnson, PT, MSPH, PhD plans study in Cerebral Palsy

Dr. Johnson is part of a research team who recently received a planning grant from Shriners Hospital for Children to evaluate the effects of a physical therapy intervention for children with cerebral palsy.  Dr. Johnson will be working with a group of researchers from the Portland Shriners Hospital to develop the proposal and to secure future funding. 

In addition, Dr. Johnson recently presented at the OPTA 2016 Fall Workshop and Business Meeting.  Her presentation described current concepts of motor control and the development of postural control or the ability to balance, which goes beyond the attainment of motor milestones.
