Boxer Dining Remembers Longtime Employee

The staff of Pacific University Boxer Dining Services is saddened by the loss of longtime Aramark employee Louis Foote, who passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Louis served thousands of students, faculty and staff at Pacific University for more than 30 years as a dishwasher, catering assistant and in many other roles. He also catered Rotary lunches for many years as part of his responsibility with Aramark.

Additionally, Louis worked with Loaves and Fishes at the Forest Grove Senior and Community Center. He is already missed by all who use the Senior Center services, and all who work and volunteer there.

“He was part of our family,” dining services director Bethany Bigelow said. "He was fun to be around, always joking and having a good time at whatever he was doing. He will be greatly missed.”

Donelson Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services is handling the arrangements on behalf of Louis' family. A private service is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014.

Condolences may be made here, and additional information can also be found here as it becomes available.
