Elon University's Center for Engaged Learning Seminar on Mentoring Undergraduate Research, a two-year research seminar, supports individuals interested in pursuing research that advances excellence in mentoring undergraduate research. Interested scholars join a cohort of researchers collaborating on the study of evidenced-based, high-quality undergraduate research mentoring practices in diverse academic ecologies.

The program is extremely competitive with only 36 participants selected. Ihas is the only participant selected from the Pacific Northwest, and one of only two that serves at a West Coast institution. Applicants were selected based on the strength of their application where they raised strong questions in line with the goals of the research seminar and paired well with other applications to facilitate the formation of research cohorts for multi-institutional research projects.

Ihas will be reimbursed for travel expenses to be involved in the program.
