Snow and Ice Forces Cancellation of Pacific University's Annual MLK Celebration Scheduled for Monday, Jan. 16
Persistent cold temperatures resulting in a slow thaw of the roads in Forest Grove and greater Portland area. All are encouraged to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. within their respective neighborhoods.
Updated 10:10 a.m: Most locations in Oregon are closed Friday due to persistent ice on the roads. Boxer Basketball games (women at 6 p.m. and men at 8 p.m.) versus Lewis & Clark in Forest Grove are still scheduled to be played.
A large tree near the university entrance at College Way may fall due to snow accumulation. This tree is a significant safety risk, so please stay clear of it and all trees on campus.
Updated 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night: Most locations in Oregon will be closed on Wednesday due to snow and ice throughout the region.

The university's annual MLK Day celebration begins at 10:15 a.m. with a prayer service in Old College Hall and also includes a march, program and lunch. All are welcome.
