Kathryn Bell
Dr. Bell joined Pacific University as a full-time faculty member in August 2010 in the School of Dental Hygiene Studies. She began serving as associate dean for Interprofessional Education in 2018, and was appointed as the founding program director of the Doctor of Science Program in 2021. 
As Pacific contemplated its mission in the 1970s, it looked to health professions studies as a way to complement the traditional liberal arts. 
To accommodate needed deadlines for the upcoming fiscal year end on June 30, the following adjustments will be made to student payroll payments and time card approval deadlines.
Mike Steele
Professor Emeritus Mike Steele will be formally inducted into the United States Handball Association Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Portland on Friday, June 17.
For the Class of 2024, gone are the days of block exams and pass/fail grading. The fall 2021 semester launched the start of the new curriculum at Pacific University School of Pharmacy. With the new curriculum students are enrolled in 6-7 individual classes that are coordinated among faculty to integrate concepts. 
Donna Taggart Johnson ’78 died Sept. 23, 2021, at age 74.
School of Pharmacy students at APhA annual meeting
In March 2022, Pacific University School of Pharmacy had great student representation at this year’s American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Antonio, Texas. It was the first in-person professional pharmacy conference many students had been able to attend since starting pharmacy school.
For Pacific University School of Pharmacy preceptors and those who might consider themselves a potential preceptor, this academic year our Experiential Office went through a complete technology update. We are no longer using E*Value and have switched over to CORE-Experiential Learning Management System.
As an Alumni or friend of Pacific University School of Pharmacy are you looking for a way to be involved with our program? One of the positive outcomes from the Pandemic was virtual offerings for volunteer events.  This means you can still get involved even if you are not located in Hillsboro or the surrounding area!
