Instructor, Healthcare Spanish

Pacific University’s School of Healthcare Administration and Leadership is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Healthcare Spanish to undergraduate students beginning in fall 2017. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience teaching college-level Spanish courses via distance delivery, including the use of web conferencing technology (Adobe Connect) and Moodle (learning management system). The selected candidate must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish (both written and oral communication skills), and possess a strong vocabulary and excellent writing skills in Spanish, with the desire and ability to learn and teach healthcare vocabulary in Spanish.  The selected candidate also must be available to attend training sessions for design and delivery of curriculum via distance delivery. If selected for this position, the candidate will teach a two-credit Healthcare Spanish course in fall 2017 and spring 2018, with 20-26 students each semester. The salary is $5,000 per semester.
