Backpacking

Backpacking at Pacific U

Join us backpacking through beautiful areas of wilderness in the Umpqua National Forest. Enjoy cooking and sleeping under the stars with fellow classmates, and explore everything that nature has to offer. There will be two backpacking trips offered, one friendly for those who have possibly never backpacked before and one that will be more challenging for those wanting to test their skills. Both trips will take you on an authentic backcountry experience that will include hiking a portion of the PCT, a partial ascent of Mt. Thielsen, and a dip into some local hot springs.
