This adventure includes five days of surfing and camping in Cape Lookout State Park on the northern coast. Walk along sandy beaches at sunset, gather around beach fires to relax and connect with new friends after thrilling days spent catching waves. We'll provide the wetsuits, surfboards, and instruction to go along with the Pacific Ocean's amazing scenery and great waves. There's nothing more soothing than falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves!

August 19-24 Trip Logistics
Saturday, August 19: Arrive at Pacific for Voyages
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. | Check in on the West Lawn with Voyage Coordinators and be welcomed by Orientation Staff.
Participate in Pacific’s traditional Sign, Shake, and Ring ceremony— a time honored tradition signing the book of enrollment, shaking the president’s hand, and ringing the bell to signify your entry into Pacific.
1:00 to 4:00 p.m. | Move-in to dorms. Students cannot move-in earlier unless approved by Housing. Students with late night flights may fly in August 19 and have a midnight check-in. Please let us know ASAP if you need to do this.
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | Welcome dinner for students and parents! (on Marsh West Lawn)
5:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Student Orientation and Pre-trip meeting! Get to know your Voyage leaders and fellow participants before you depart on your adventures (students only).
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. | Parent and Family Orientation (parents and family members only).
