Hillsboro Campus – December 4, HPC2, Room 430, 12:00-1:00
Presented by Unitus Community Credit Union  - Lunch and Learn – Lunch Provided for In-Person Attendees

Your credit score is more than just a number. It can help determine how important life purchase processes unfold and how much you pay for the items - big and small - that you value. Understanding your credit and knowing the steps to improve it can increase your access to better interest rates and purchase opportunities.

In this free seminar, you will learn:

  • How to read your credit report
  • Techniques to improve your credit score
  • How to build your credit the smart way

HR Wellness Workshop: Inside Money, Managing Income and Debt

Forest Grove Campus – December 9, Marsh Hall, Taylor Auditorium, 11:30-12:30
Presented by TIAA - Lunch and Learn – Lunch Provided for In-Person Attendees

Everyone talks about a budget, but how many of us actually make and stick to one? Most people have some debt, but how many understand its effects? Let TIAA show you the real impact of both — and help you understand how your money can work for you. The leader of this free workshop will:

  • Discuss the importance of cash flow and how to use it
  • Focus on how you look at saving and spending
  • Help you evaluate debt — and find ways to help manage it

Financial Peace University | Future Offerings TBD

What is FPU?  This 9-week course is a proven program that will show you how to master personal budgeting, save for emergencies, pay off debt, plan and invest for the future, and live and give like no one else.

“Debt is so ingrained into our culture that most Americans can’t even envision a car without a payment … a house without a mortgage … a student without a loan … and credit without a card. We’ve been sold debt with such repetition and with such fervor that most folks can’t conceive of what it would be like to have NO payments.”
—Dave Ramsey

This course is open to all members of the Pacific community, including friends and family. Staff of Pacific University may apply for the Staff Professional Development Grant to request assistance with purchasing the required materials.  For more information, please contact Jolene Vice.
