Pacific University’s strategic plan embraces five core themes, one of which is achieving excellence by investing in our people.
For the past several years, we have made employee salaries a budget priority. The ongoing comparability project has involved a detailed comparison of faculty and staff job descriptions, pay grades and salaries, both internally and in comparison to the external job market.
In 2015, Pacific University adjust the salaries of faculty members. The adjustments brought individuals to a minimum of 95 percent and groups to an average of 98.5 percent of their salary benchmarks among a comparable group of national peers.
In 2016, Pacific made a significant adjustment to staff salaries, as well. This adjustment included establishing pay grades with corresponding salary ranges and increasing individuals’ salaries based on market comparisons and longevity with the university.
