Ellen Reuler is an assistant professor and director of clinical education at Pacific University. She came to Pacific University in August 2011 to help start the new program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. 

Prior to joining the faculty at Pacific University, she served on the faculty in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Portland State University for 21 years, serving as clinic director for 13 of those years. She has numerous professional presentations in the areas of and clinical education and service learning and has recently been involved in the formation of two new organizations focusing on clinical education, the Oregon Directors of Clinical Education and the Western States Directors of Clinical Education. 

She has been active in local, state and national professional organizations, including serving on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Council for Clinical Certification, the Executive Board of the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders and the Executive Board of the Oregon Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Ellen was named an ASHA Fellow in 2007.
