Jessica Merlo, PharmD, RPh

Educational History

She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2017. Dr. Merlo completed her PGY-1 residency training at the West Texas Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Big Spring, Texas in 2018, and completed her PGY-2 residency with Pacific University and Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center in 2019.

Practice/Research Interests

Dr. Merlo is interested in chronic disease and pain management in the outpatient setting. This includes management of diabetes, asthma/COPD, tobacco use disorder, hypertension, and cardiovascular risk reduction.

Outside the Classroom

Dr. Merlo is from St. Louis, MO and loves to cheer for the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues. In her free time, she is busy wedding planning, enjoying new restaurants, singing along to musicals, or exploring Oregon with her fiancé and dog (a husky/malamute mix).
