Graduation Weekend Schedule of Events
Award Ceremony and Commencement Rehearsal
3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. | Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center, McCready Hall
All participants are required to attend the rehearsal to hear instructions regarding the processional and seating arrangements. In addition, awards are given for outstanding students in the various colleges, departments, divisions, and programs. Learn more.
5 p.m. | University Center Commons
Are you ready to celebrate all of your hard work during your time at Pacific University? Join your fellow classmates, faculty and staff at a celebration welcoming you to the Alumni Association. Food and beverages will be provided and you will also receive your free alumni pint glass! Learn more.
3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. | Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center, McCready Hall
Baccalaureate is a pre-commencement ceremony, typically combining dance, choral and instrumental music, poetry, and readings from a wide variety of traditions— all presented by graduates themselves. Learn more.
Sign, Shake & Ring
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m | Old College Hall
Return to Old College Hall to join the University President, Lesley Hallick and participate in this important Pacific tradition. Ring the bell in the historic building and sign your name in the Book of Enrollment to signify the completion of your academic career at Pacific.
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. | Lawn on North side of Old College Hall
Following Baccalaureate and Sign, Shake & Ring, all students and guests are invited to a reception outside of Old College Hall.
7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. | University Center
Kick off the big day right! Graduates Commencement Buffet Breakfast is free to Pacific University graduates with registration. Guests will need to purchase tickets ahead or at the door. Register or Purchase Tickets.
8:30 a.m. | Stoller Center Fieldhouse
Graduates should arrive already in cap and gown to assemble for the processional. Graduates will be lined up by the Registar's Office Staff to assemble for the Processional.
Stadium Gates Open
8:30 a.m. | Hanson Stadium
All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Hanson Stadium Gates open one hour before the ceremony begins. Learn More.
Commencement Ceremony Begins
9:30 a.m. | Hanson Stadium
All family and friends are invited to attend commencement to celebrate the achievements of their graduate and no tickets are needed. The ceremony will last approximately two hours. Plan Your Visit.
New Alumni Reception
11:30 a.m. | University Center
Join us directly after the ceremony as we welcome our newest Pacific University alumni at a reception for graduates and their guests.
