Additional MLK Day Activities Planned for Students

Pacific joins the nation in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 21. Though there are no classes on Monday and university offices are closed, MLK Day is a designated day of service — "a day on, not a day off."

Pacific organizations will host a variety of activities for students to honor the memory of Dr. King over the weekend.

Pacific’s ACE Board will sponsor a screening of Green Book at 9:25 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18 at the Forest Theater, free for Pacific students.

The Student Multicultural Center will sponsor a day of service with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, Jan. 19. Limited space is available, so sign up online or by emailing chav1043@pacificu.edu. Participants will meet at 8:45 a.m. in the University Center, and the day ends at 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

On Monday, MLK Day, join the McCall Center for Civic Engagement for a letter writing campaign. Stop by Scott 110 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to participate and grab a snack. Email cce@pacificu.edu with questions.
