Bench Dedication Ceremony to Honor Kiden Dilla and Ayan Osman Moved to Kathrin Cawein Gallery

Pacific University will dedicate a memorial bench in honor of former students Kiden Dilla and Ayan Osman at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 on the Forest Grove Campus. The date marks the one-year anniversary of the fatal car accident at the intersection of Highway 47 and Verboort Road that killed Dilla and Osman, who were commuting to campus together.

The ceremony, open to the public, will take place in the Kathrin Cawein Gallery located in Scott Hall and will include a recognition of community service initiatives the Dilla and Osman families and university's Black Student Union have undertaken in the two students' names. The bench is located on the walkway south of the library, where the ceremony was originally scheduled to be held but has been moved due to forecasted rain. A reception will follow in the gallery.
