Celebrate Commencement with Pacific University on Saturday

Pacific University hosts its May Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 18, at Hanson Stadium on the Forest Grove Campus.

Morning Undergraduate Commencement

Undergraduate degrees will be presented during the morning ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will include the presentation of bachelor’s degrees in the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, and College of Education. Additionally, Pacific will bestow an honorary doctorate of humane letters upon Mary Fair Berglund ’58 during the ceremony.

Afternoon Graduate/Professional Commencement

Graduate and professional degrees will be presented during the afternoon ceremony at 1:30 p.m. The ceremony will include the presentation of professional, master’s and doctorate degrees in the: 

College of Arts & Sciences 
Master of Social Work Program

College of Business 
MBA Program

College of Education 
School of Communication Sciences & Disorders
School of Learning & Teaching

College of Health Professions 
School of Pharmacy
School of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training

College of Optometry

Also at the afternoon ceremony, alumna and faculty emerita Nada Lignel ’79, OD ’81, MS ’88, ‘OO will receive the ninth annual Kamelia Massih Prize for a Distinguished Optometrist.

Guest Information

Ceremonies are held at Hanson Stadium on the Forest Grove Campus. Campus parking lots are open with no permits needed (except Lot M, which requires a handicap placard). Street parking also is available. Getting Around

Gates open one hour before each ceremony, and no tickets are required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating Information

Accessible seating is available on the field and in the stadium. Accessible parking and campus shuttles also are available throughout the day. Accessibility Information

The ceremonies are held outdoors, rain or shine. Stadium seating is covered, though field-level seats are not. Guests are also advised to check the weather and dress accordingly. Umbrellas are discouraged, though ponchos will be available for sale in the event of rain. Weather Information

Both ceremonies are streamed live, with captions, online at pacificu.edu/tv for those who cannot attend in person or who would like to watch from elsewhere on campus. The ceremonies also will be broadcast in the gym in the Stoller Center.

Limited concessions will be available on site, and the Bookstore will be open. Amenities
